he new student recreation center at The University of Akron got a stainless steel facade made of architectural mesh.
The new student recreation center at The University of Akron was completed in August 2004. The center includes a three court gymnasium, one of the largest indoor rock climbing walls, cardiovascular training area, free weights and strength training area, and much more.
22 panels (approx. 1690 sqft) of EGLA - TWIN 4223 were used as an exterior facade to help reduce the visibility of the condensing units on the roof.
As the tensioning system the HAVER & BOECKER system flat tension bar with clevis screw was used.
